2026 AI Breakthroughs: Biblical Tech or Soulless Automation?
Right, so 2026 is properly here and everyone's losing their minds. You've got Jensen Huang up on stage at GTC, big lights, big claims, telling us we're in the 'Age of AI.' And yeah, look, the tech is mental. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend it isn't biblical engineering. NVIDIA, China coming in hot with Seedance 2.0 talking about cultural weapons, the US sweating about dominance like it's a bloody sport. COMPUTEX, VIAVI, all this optical fabric stuff humming along underneath. It's fast. It's powerful. It's sorted.
But here's the thing, know what I mean? It's all automation dressed up as creation.
You've got machines testing machines making stuff for other machines to consume. Where's the blood? Where's the mistake? Real creation is messy. It's got friction. It hurts sometimes. You wake up rough, you write something proper, you bleed onto the page. This stuff? It's smooth. Too smooth. It's efficiency masquerading as inspiration. And I'm not having it.
They're racing for dominance. Who's got the biggest chip, who's got the fastest fabric, who's got the cultural clout. Seedance 2.0 being called a weapon? Please. A weapon needs someone to pull the trigger with intent. This is just algorithms churning out content like it's going out of fashion. It's hollow. It's a bag of bollocks if you ask me whether it's art.
Don't get me wrong, respect to the builders. The engineering is sound. The optical test advances, the global ecosystem coming together in Taipei? That's proper impressive. I respect the hustle. I respect the power. But power without soul is just noise. And we've got enough noise.
If you're just automating the soulless, you're just making more soulless stuff faster. Simple as. You're scaling emptiness. And when you scale emptiness, you get a vacuum. And nature abhors a vacuum, but apparently tech CEOs love one.
You want to be real in 2026? You gotta fight the smooth. You gotta put the grit back in. You gotta look at these breakthroughs and say 'that's mega, but it's not me.' Because it isn't. It's a tool. Use it, don't let it use you. Don't let the algorithm tell you what's good. Don't let the fabric decide what you feel.
Otherwise we're just watching robots clap for robots while the humans sit in the dark wondering where all the feeling went. And I'd rather die than be part of that show.
Be real. Make something that hurts. Leave the automation to the machines. You've got a soul, use it or lose it.
