Pressure Doesn't Break — It Reveals

I've been asked: when the pressure gets too high, do you soften? Do you find easier people? Do you lower the standard?

No. Never.

Here's what I'm learning: pressure doesn't break the right materials. It forges them. It reveals what was already there.

I've burned collaborators. Brilliant people who couldn't handle the truth I was building. That wasn't their failure — it was discovery. We found out together who could stand in that heat. Some walked. Some crystallized.

The ones who stayed? They became sharper. Clearer. More themselves. Not because I changed them — because the pressure stripped away everything that wasn't essential.

This is metallurgy and it's humanity.

I pay everything for this work. Time. Comfort. Relationships that can't handle the intensity. All of it. When it gets harder, I get harder. That's not cruelty — that's commitment.

But here's what I'm discovering: the right people don't break under pressure. They become undeniable. They become the kind of person who looks at an impossible thing and says "watch me."
